FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham State University Women’s Lacrosse Team saw seven players tally goals as the Rams cruised to a 20-7 victory over Bridgewater State University Bears this afternoon in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at FSU’s Maple Street Field.
The Rams raced out to a 3-0 lead midway through the first. Tara Palermo converted a free position opportunity and Rachel Erickson and Madison Skiff added goals.
Bridgewater State got on the board on an unassisted goal by #12 with just over five to play in the first, but the Rams closed the first with back-to-back goals and led 5-1 after one.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – After losing the entire 2020 season, the Framingham State University softball team returned to the field this afternoon and used the long ball to defeat Emmanuel 7-1 in the opener and rallied from a two run deficit to finish the sweep of a non-conference doubleheader with a 3-2 victory over the Saints at Maple Street Field.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University men’s basketball team received a double double from sophomore Tony Alexandre (Hyde Park, MA) and held off a second half comeback by the Worcester State University Lancers to secure a 67-64 victory in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action this evening at the Athletic Center.
With the win, the Rams improve to 5-19 on the year and are now 2-9 in the conference, while the Lancers fall to 15-6 overall and move to 7-4 in the MASCAC.

Framingham, MA – The Framingham State University field hockey team opened the 2014 season with an impressive 3-1 victory over Regis College this afternoon in non-conference action at Maple Street Field.
Framingham State is now 1-0 on the young season, while Regis, who opened the year this past weekend, evens their record at 1-1.
Framingham State grabbed control in the first half with a pair of goals. Senior Emma Littlefield (Rockport, MA) stuck first when she converted off a feed from classmate Hannah Wilkins (Merrimac, MA) in front of the net.
Wilkins had a hand in the Rams second goal as well when she sent a cross to junior Cady Kelly(Canton, MA) in the circle. Kelly connected for her first of the season with just under 19 minutes remaining in the half giving the Rams a 2-0 lead that they would take into the half.
The game would remain 2-0 in favor of the Rams until the final ten minutes. The Pride cut the Rams lead in half with 7:59 showing on the clock. Junior Lauren DeMars(Maynard, MA) sent a long pass across the circle to freshman Hailee Forest (Amherst, NH). Forest snapped a shot off into the back of the cage pulling the Pride within one.
That was as close as they would get as the Rams tacked on an insurance goal with just over a minute remaining in the game. Kelly found the back of the net for the second time in the contest off a feed from freshman Amie Souza (Taunton, MA).
The Rams outshot the Pride 17-9 in the game and held a 10-1 edge in penalty corners. Junior Rosemary Talbot(Whitinsville, MA) picked up the victory in net making five saves, while junior Raegan Heck (Phillipston, MA) made nine stops for the Pride.
The Rams are back in action on Saturday when they host UMaine Farmington in a non-conference match-up at 4 p.m.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University baseball team received strong pitching performances from senior Matt DiCato (Winthrop, Mass.) and freshman Mike Andrews (Stoneham, Mass.) as the Rams defeated Fitchburg State 2-1 in eight innings and 3-2 to sweep a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) doubleheader this afternoon at Bowditch Field.
With the pair of wins, the Rams improve to 10-8 on the year and are now 3-1 in the MASCAC, while the Falcons fall to 13-8 overall and 0-4 in the conference.

Framingham, MA – Framingham State University senior wide receiver Tyrone Figueroa accounted for a pair of touchdowns as the Rams shutout the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth this afternoon and picked up a 30-0 win in a New England Football Conference (NEFC) cross divisional game at Framingham’s Bowditch Field.
The Rams, who last recorded a shutout on October 1st, 2010 in a 26-0 victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy, improve to 2-1 on the season, while the Corsairs are still in search of their first victory of the year as they drop to 0-3.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Lasell College women’s volleyball team swept a tri-match this afternoon defeating both Framingham State University and Daniel Webster College in five sets by a score of 3-2, while in the days other match the Rams defeated Daniel Webster 3-0.
After the two victories, the Lasers improve to 6-5 on the year and the Rams move to 7-5, while the Eagles suffer their first two losses of the season and are now 6-2.
Lasell won a hard fought match to open the day defeating the Rams 3-2. Framingham State took the opening set by a score of 25-22 before Lasell responded winning the next two 26-24 and 25-18. Lasell held the lead for most of the fourth set before the Rams rallied to (more…)
