    Framingham Man Indicted on Felon in Possession of Firearms Charges

    Edwin Alago, 42, of Framingham, MA, indicted on felon in possession of a firearms, (Framingham Police booking photo from related arrest in 2022).

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The U.S. Justice Department’s Office of State Attorney, Massachusetts Division announced a Framingham man Edwin Alago, 42 was indicted on two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

    Alago was previously arrested on related state charges and will appear in federal court at a later date.

    According to the indictment, in May 2021, Alago possessed a SCCY .9mm CPX-2 semi-automatic pistol bearing a defaced serial number and seven rounds of .9mm ammunition.

    UPDATED: Missing Person: Framingham Police Attempt to Locate Madeline A. DeShazo

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — On January 17th the Framingham Police reported that “Madeline has been located in the Boston area and is with family.” and thanked those who helped locate her for their assistance.

    On Monday, January 16, 2023 the Framingham Police Department issued a “Missing Person / Attempt to Locate” notice in an attempt to locate Madeline A. DeShazo, (age 33, DOB 6/3/89).

    Ms. DeShazo was last seen in Framingham on January 12th, 2023.

    DeShazo may be in danger due to health reasons.

    Police reports indicate Ms. DeShazo may be driving a black Honda CRV (WA License Plate: BFC2456), and that her current whereabouts are unknown.

    Framingham Police Dept Awarded $61,918.00 for Municipal Road Safety Program

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Today, as part of $10.9 Million in federal grant funds slated for Massachusetts to improve road safety, the Framingham Police Department was awarded $61,918.00 for its Municipal Road Safety Program.

    Framingham Police submitted plans for improved traffic safety training, equipment, and enforcement in a competitive grant process and was one of only 186 municipal and MA state agencies to be awarded grant monies.

    Three of Framingham’s Most Wanted Arrested

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Police Department working in conjunction with the Massachusetts State Police VFAS Unit, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, and outside agencies in Tennessee, New York, and Las Vegas, were able to locate and arrest three of Framingham’s Most Wanted individuals.

    ARRESTED- Elmer Diaz (DOB: 12/3/1996) on July 7, 2021 in Cookeville, TN by Putnam County Sheriffs. Warrant charges include Rape, Burglary, Unarmed Assault in a Dwelling and Indecent A&B on a Person over 14.

    Beware: Unlicensed Driveway Paving Contractor Operating in Framingham

    Asphalt heaves and cracks in winter from poor drainage due to poor planning, a bad mix or poor workmanship.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Department of Public Works (DPW) and Police Department have been notified about several occurrences with a un-licensed company offering “discount” driveway paving work.

    The company offers paving services at a discounted rate, claiming the job can be completed that day with hot top mix leftover from another job. Residents who have hired this them say the company offers no contact information or written contract and requests payment in cash or check upon completion of work.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker have confirmed the identity of the victim of an apparent homicide in Framingham as Jasmyn Beatty, 28 a resident of Halstead Apartments in Framingham.     FRAMINGHAM, MA — A series of interrelated litigation matters over the past several months has come to an end with the First Circuit Court of Appeals affirming summary judgment in favor of the City of Framingham and former Police Chief Kenneth Ferguson, who retired in 2018. In two separate lawsuits by a former and current member of the Framingham Police Department, both officers’ claims were dismissed in their entirety. Stuart v. Framingham, 989 F. 3d 29 (1st Cir. 2021), and Gutwill v. Framingham, 2021 U.S. App. LEXIS 11020 (1st Cir. Apr. 24, 2021).
