FRAMINGHAM, MA — The City mailed third-quarter real estate tax bills on Wednesday, March 17, and mailed fourth-quarter bills Wednesday, March 31. Both are due Monday, May 3.
Because the third- and fourth-quarter bills were created close together, the fourth quarter bills included a tally for both the third- and fourth-quarter real estate taxes.

(more…)FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 9:15 p.m. in the Blumer Community Room of the Memorial Building, 150 Concord Street, Framingham, Massachusetts to consider the application of Framingham CFII, LP and The Congress Group Inc. for a Special Permit for Land Disturbance.
The permit is in regards to a proposal to construct two six-story buildings which will be connected by a common connector building at 125, 135 and 137 Pennsylvania Avenue.
The properties consist of the former home of International Paper and other office buildings built in the 1960’s and 1970’s. The properties are in the Framingham Industrial Park, (which is located between Rt. 30, Rt.9 and the MassPike and is best known as the home of (more…)
FRAMINGHAM, MA -The Framingham Taxpayers Association, or “FTPA” has been re-established and re-activated. The organization which operates as a fiscal watchdog over “the interests of residential property taxpayers“, and “advocates for fiscally responsible and cost-effective town government“, is gearing up to counter any Proposition 2 1/2 tax override.
Citing the fact that taxpayers must live within their means, the group’s mission is to organize voters to oppose raising taxes, and to see that municipal government lives within the means taxpayers already provide.
The FTPA was originally formed in 2003, “to serve as advocates for Framingham Taxpayers”. In a press release, February 12, 2011, the FTPA lists the officers (and members of the FTPS Executive Committee), as:

Rotatori, Freeman and Prindiville were part of the founding of the original FTPA organization in 2003. The five members of the Executive Committee serve without compensation.
A press release issued earlier today promises that “Framingham residents will be reading and hearing more details regarding FTPA activity in the coming weeks and months.”
