    Framingham's own David Hornfischer added to the Bosox Club Board of Directors.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – David Hornfischer of Framingham, MA was recently named a director of the BoSox Club, the Red Sox leading fan club.

    Hornfischer who recently retired as Senior Vice President/ Treasurer of Boston’s Berklee College of Music, is also a board member of the Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham where his roles are as diverse as organization Treasurer and host of the monthly Amazing Open Comedy Mique Show.

    Founded in 1967, The BoSox Club is a non-profit Booster Club that supports the Boston Red Sox. In addition to providing activities such as luncheons and BBQ events with direct access to players and Red Sox personnel, and access to spring training events/tickets, the Club takes an active role in supporting such charities as The Red Sox Foundation, The Jimmy Fund and The Foundation to be Named Later.

    One of the most popular BoSox events is their Annual Family Day, where members are treated to a player-run baseball seminar and tickets to a summer game.

    Xtreme Riders 10th Annual Leukemia Run

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Since the year 2001 the Xtreme Riders motorcycle club has held a fund-raising motorcycle run to benefit kids with Leukemia.

    This morning hundreds of gleaming motorcycles gathered in front of Robinson’s Hardware in the Pinefield Shopping Center and lined up for the 10th Annual Xtreme Riders Leukemia Run. At 10:15AM, the group left the Nicholas Rd. lot and headed up Pinewood Dr. for the start of the 53 mile run. (more…)

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Tapping into the nation’s growing spirit of volunteerism, Neighbor Brigade, today announced the launch of its Framingham chapter, adding to its proven “neighbors helping neighbors” network.

    With chapters throughout New England, Neighbor Brigade is a non-profit organization that transforms local communities into caring centers where volunteers are mobilized to help their neighbors during times of crisis.

    Unlike existing for-profit family support services, Framingham Neighbor Brigade is made up of neighborhood volunteers and is completely free of charge. Using the most current Web-based community-building tools, Neighbor Brigade helps supplement where immediate family and friends cannot cover the day-to-day household needs of those experiencing a sudden family tragedy, trauma or critical illness, such as providing local rides, preparing meals and running small errands.     FRAMINGHAM, MA — Is your non-profit organization looking for a new venue to hold a fundraiser or meeting? Divine Kitchens on Lyman Street in Westborough, just off Route 9, offers its luxury kitchen showroom to area groups free of charge for just that purpose!

    Host a local chef for a cooking demonstration to attract your membership. Hold a dinner meeting of your board there. Perhaps your organization would like to offer a cooking class as part of its programming, but no one member wants to host the activity in their home kitchen? Here’s your chance.

    “We’ve worked with several local organizations, including Ovations for a Cure, to host evening cocktail parties, wine and cheese receptions and cooking demonstrations,” said Divine owner Mariette Barsoum. “This is our way to give back to the community and meet new people.”
