    “Neighbor Brigade” Launches Framingham Chapter
    Framingham Neighbor Brigade
Framingham Neighbor Brigade – ‘Neighbors Helping Neighbors’ Network Provides Helping Hand for Local Residents in Crisis

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Tapping into the nation’s growing spirit of volunteerism, Neighbor Brigade, today announced the launch of its Framingham chapter, adding to its proven “neighbors helping neighbors” network.

With chapters throughout New England, Neighbor Brigade is a non-profit organization that transforms local communities into caring centers where volunteers are mobilized to help their neighbors during times of crisis.

Unlike existing for-profit family support services, Framingham Neighbor Brigade is made up of neighborhood volunteers and is completely free of charge. Using the most current Web-based community-building tools, Neighbor Brigade helps supplement where immediate family and friends cannot cover the day-to-day household needs of those experiencing a sudden family tragedy, trauma or critical illness, such as providing local rides, preparing meals and running small errands. Neighbor Brigade services are available to every Framingham citizen – regardless of age, race, religion or economic situation.

Non-profit Community Group Provides Easy, Convenient Way for Framingham, Mass. Residents to Get Involved by Volunteering Whenever and However Their Time Allows

Neighbor Brigade provides an easy and flexible way for motivated individuals of any age to get involved in helping their neighbors and turning their communities into centers of support. Volunteers are drawn to Neighbor Brigade by a sense of caring and charity for their neighbors, and by its flexible model. Volunteers can determine on an ad hoc basis when and how to participate. It can be as much or as little as their time allows because the model is developed specifically to work with this kind of fluidity.

    About Neighbor Brigade

Neighbor Brigade is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation that provides a blueprint for local communities to create and maintain volunteer networks using proven online tools, resources and best practices. A Neighbor Brigade chapter starts with a dedicated leader, the Chapter Leader, who builds the neighborhood volunteer network. Neighbor Brigade provides “how to” technology tools and information that streamline this process and allow leaders to support one another. Using a simple web-based system, volunteer networks efficiently organize and schedule the necessary services for their neighbors in need. To learn more, visit www.neighborbrigade.org.
