    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham High School team has made it to WGBH’s High School Quiz Show quarterfinals which air tonight, Monday June 7, 2010 at 7:30pm on WGBH 2.

    Tonight’s matchup is Framingham High School vs. Longmeadow High School.

    Both teams are vying for a spot in the Eastern MA semifinals and hoping to go on to face the winner of the Western MA division and claim the title of State Champion.

  • Unique Showcase for Framingham High Talent on February 12

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – There has never been a show at Framingham High School like the one coming up on Friday, February 12th at 7pm. Called F-Cubed (short for Finding Framingham’s Forte), the performance is billed as a showcase for artistic expression in three dimensions.   • FHS Students to Compete in WGBH Quiz Show

    Framingham, MA – Framingham High School is one of 20 schools invited to send teams to compete in a WGBH-TV pilot serioes, “High School Quiz Show.”

    Six seniors, Michelle Cunningham,Jason Harding, Indiana Jones, David Kruger, Steve Lessard, and Ben Rosen were nominated by their teachers.

    The students have been practicing weekly and will be up against Boston Collegiate Charter School on February 6th.

    The show will be on weekly beginning on March 22nd with the series wrapping up with the finals in June.

  • Used Sports Equipment Sale at FHS Marketplace

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – To raise funds for the Framingham High School athletics program, the girls field hockey team will be selling used sports equipment at the Holiday Marketplace on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at FHS.

    The team would be grateful for any donations of cleats (and other athletic shoes), skates, bats, balls, mitts, shinguards, goggles, sticks (field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse), racquets, etc. Youth and adult equipment will be accepted.

    Donations may be placed in the collection boxes in the lobbies of McCarthy, Potter Road, and Stapleton Schools by December 4, 2009.

  • CELEBRATE BABES, BOYS AND BOTOX

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – At 2 p.m. on November 8, the acclaimed Four Bitchin’ Babes®) will perform their hilarious Hormonal Imbalance,™ A Mood Swinging Musical Revue at Framingham High School to benefit two local non-profits — Hope In Bloom and The Vernon Cancer Center. WCVB TV news anchor, Susan Wornick along with breast cancer survivor and WCVB TV reporter Kelley Tuthill will emcee the laugh filled afternoon.

    When 49 year old Framingham resident, Kimm Delgizzi, was diagnosed with breast cancer, her longtime friends Dale Gudejko and Anne Blackington sprang into action. To cheer Delgizzi up and help her heal, they organized the Four Bitchin’ Babes® appearance in her honor.

    Delgizzi chose Dedham based Hope in Bloom, which plants gardens free of charge at the homes of breast cancer patients and The Vernon Cancer Center, where Delgizzi received her care, as the recipients of proceeds from the event.

  • Whole Foods hosts July 4th Grill event

    Framingham, Mass. – June 25, 2009 – Whole Foods Market is firing up the grill to help send the Framingham High School Drama Company (FHS-DC) to Scotland in 2010. FHS-DC was selected recently to perform and represent the U.S. at the world’s largest and most prestigious arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe.

    “We’ll be serving up delicious summer foods, and all proceeds from the day’s sales will go to the Framingham High School Drama Company,” says Pirjo Silen, Marketing Team Leader, Whole Foods Framingham. “FHS-DC is raising funds for their upcoming theater trip to Scotland. Every cent spent counts, so bring your friends and family! ”

    The lunch-time event is open to all, and will feature:

  • FHS Girls Lacrosse Team Wins Division 1 North Trophy

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Congratulations to the Framingham High School Girls Lacrosse Team who won their 6th straight Division 1 North Trophy last week.

    The Team beat Reading 18-12 in the final.

    They go on to play Westwood in the state semifinal.
