    • June 8, 2023 – Ameresco announced a 250 megawatt (MW), 1,000 megawatt hour (MWh) battery energy storage system (BESS) in partnership with Atura Power in Napanee, Ontario, Canada — part of the largest BESS awards in Canadian history.
    • July 6, 2023 – Ameresco announced four California grid tied BESS installations which will be sited at gas power plants owned by Middle River Power. The project is designed to add 379 megawatt hours to the California grid.
    • July 10, 2023 – Ameresco announced contract signing for a significant battery energy storage asset in partnership with United Power, an electric cooperative serving the Colorado northern Front Range. The groundbreaking asset installation entails a multiple site, 78.3 MW, 313.34 MWh battery storage system. These battery arrays will empower United to store and dispatch power efficiently during periods of high consumption to optimize energy resources, enhance grid resilience, and ensure a reliable electricity supply for their customers. Ameresco will provide four 11.75 MW and four 7.84 MW battery arrays across eight different substation sites.
