FRAMINGHAM, MA – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published information on June 21, 2023 about a “Voluntary Recall of Specific Frozen Fruit Products Due to Possible Contamination by Listeria monocytogenes“.
The recall by Sunrise Growers Inc (a subsidiary of SunOpta Inc) includes frozen fruit packaged under several brand names for several grocery retailers.
Frozen fruit products at Framingham, MA area retailers including Walmart, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Target and Aldi may be subject to recall. See list of the brand names / products carried by each retailer below:
Walmart: Great Value Mixed Fruit, Great Value Dark Sweet Cherries, and Great Value Mango Chunks.
Whole Foods: 365 Organic Tropical Fruit Medley, 365 Organic Pineapple Chunks, 365 Pineapple Chunks, 365 Organic Whole Strawberries, 365 Organic Slice Strawberries and Bananas, and 365 Organic Blackberries.
Trader Joe’s: Trader Joe’s Organic Tropical Fruit Blend.
Target: Good & Gather Organic Cherries and Berries Fruit Blend, Good & Gather Dark Sweet Whole Pitted Cherries, Good & Gather Mango Strawberry Blend, Good & Gather Mixed Fruit Blend, Good & Gather Mango Chunks, Good & Gather Blueberries, and Good & Gather Triple Berry Blend.
Aldi: Season’s Choice Tropical Blend.

To date, there have been no illnesses associated with this voluntary recall.
