FRAMINGHAM, MA – On Friday, December 5, 2014, Congresswoman Katherine Clark (MA-5) met with Framingham Superintendent of Schools Dr. Stacy Scott and his leadership team to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing Framingham schools, students and families. The group discussed topics including the vital importance of expanded early education and pre-K, the needs of English Language Learners (ELL), the role of literacy coaches, innovation and the use of technology in the classroom, the National School Lunch Program, and challenges in Special Education.

The Congresswoman also toured the King Elementary School, visiting several Kindergarten classrooms and the innovative MakerSpace, in which children in all grades can express their creativity and put engineering principles into practice using recycled materials.
“Framingham Public School educators, administrators and students are doing extraordinary things, often in quite challenging circumstances,” said Congresswoman Clark. “I look forward to collaborating with Dr. Scott and his team to do all we can to ensure that our students have every opportunity to thrive and learn to their full potential.”
