FRAMINGHAM, MA – On Saturday we reported “Framingham Fire and Police Search River for Missing Woman“, and that they were likely looking for Susan Bamvakis, a 50 year old Nobscot woman who suffers from mental illness and had gone missing on Tuesday September 20th.
Today, Monday September 26, 2011 at approx 1:00pm, a kayaker reported finding the body of a woman matching Bamvakis’ description in a part of the Sudbury River below the falls where the river runs behind the high school, then passes under Concord St. near the Riverside Gas Station. The body has not been formally identified and the death is still under investigation.

On Tuesday, September 27, 2011, Massachusetts’ office of State Medical Examiner confirms identity — body found was Susan Bamvakas. Framingham Police report circumstances surrounding her death are still under investigation.
