FRAMINGHAM, MA – Framingham Baseball League is currently accepting registrations for its Fall Baseball Travel League.
Registration is open to all Framingham youth ages 12-15.
All registrants who are 12 years old and played in the Little League Majors or AAA this past spring will be placed on “Step Up Prep” teams.
The league is instructional, (not competitive, no standings will be kept), and is designed to give players experience playing on larger diamonds and to introduce them to rules that are different from Little League.
Those who are 13 & 14 year olds and played in the Prep League and 14 & 15 year olds who played in the Babe Ruth League Majors will be placed on one of three teams for their age/skill level.
Babe Ruth Prep is now in the process of interviewing coaching candidates for the 2012 season.
If you are interested in coaching a Babe Ruth Prep team for the 2012 season please contact Howard Chorney via email on or before August 27th at: hocho57@verzion.net
Along with Framingham, teams from Marlborough, Southborough, Northborough, Westborough and Milford are expected to participate in the league.
Games will be played weekends from September 10th, 2011 through October 30th, 2011, (on Saturdays and Sundays), with game times at 9:30 a.m., 12:00 noon and 2:30 p.m.
Team rosters are being expanded to allow for scheduling conflicts some players may have with other sports commitments.
Players are advised to register early as these teams always fill up.
Registrations will close on August 29th.
Fees are $100 per player.
You can get detailed information, register online, or download a “print and mail” registration form, (which can be found in “Documents” section), on the Framingham Baseball website: www.framinghambaseball.org
