SOAR 55, Service Opportunities after Reaching 55, a program of Newton Community Service Center and with a satellite office location at the Framingham Public Library, connects adults 55 and over with meaningful and challenging community service opportunities in Framingham and the MetroWest area.
SOAR 55 is seeking volunteers interested in using their skills and experiences to assist local nonprofits. There are many opportunities to make a difference, keep your skills current, learn new ones, and meet interesting people, Including: Graphic Design Assistant design and produce PR materials, newsletters, flyers, posters and displays for a library; Job Skills Training Manager develop and provide monthly job skills workshops and provide individual job coaching for a service council; Fundraising Event Coordinator, assist a board of trustees with fundraising including planning events, writing newsletter articles and managing a donor database; and Website Developer re-design and maintain a medical facility’s website.
Orientation, training and support provided. Opportunities are coordinated to work with your schedule and hours are flexible
