    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker have confirmed the identity of the victim of an apparent homicide in Framingham as Jasmyn Beatty, 28 a resident of Halstead Apartments in Framingham. The investigation into her death remains active and ongoing at this time.

  • Dr. Monifa Charles Appointed Framingham Public Health Director

    Framingham's Town Hall, the Memorial Building is located at 150 Concord Street in Downtown Framingham.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Dr. Monifa Charles, DHSc, MSP, MPA, has been appointed as Framingham’s new Director of Public Health.

    Dr. Charles has worked in public health for the last 18 years, most recently working for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Service Office in Raleigh, where she identified innovative models of care and collaboration in underserved areas.

  • Masks Still Required on MBTA Vehicles, Stations, Platforms

    Framigham MBTA / Commuter Rail Service passengers still required to wear face masks.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The MBTA is reminding customers that face coverings are required while onboard vehicles, in stations and facilities, on platforms and bus stops, and anywhere within the MBTA system for all riders, including those who have been fully vaccinated.

    On May 13, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updated guidance regarding face coverings for fully vaccinated individuals, noting that, “fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask.”
