    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Motorists are advised that there may be detours or slow moving traffic due to construction work being performed during daytime hours on the following roads in Framingham during the week of November 21st through the 27th, 2021. Please note: construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.

    Framingham Traffic Alerts, Detours, Delays, sign: Be Prepared to Stop
    Plan ahead for delays and be prepared to stop as many Framingham roadway projects are being finished before winter sets in.

    Arlington Street Water, Sewer, and Roadway Improvements Design – Surveying will be conducted on Alexander Street, Summit Street, Wellington Avenue, and a portion of Eames Street. Minor traffic impacts at times may occur.

    Eversource Electric Transmission Structure Inspections – Eversource Electric and Osmose Utility will inspect existing transmission structures via drone and on foot. Inspections will be conducted 7 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday-Saturday. Sporadically, some work will be performed on Sundays. Residents with questions about this project should contact Eversource Electric by calling 1-800-793-2202 or emailing ProjectInfo@Eversource.com.

    Blackberry Lane Sewer Pump Station – Pump station and sewer main work continues. Blackberry Lane at Millwood Street will be closed to through traffic during work hours, and a detour will be in effect. Please seek an alternate route.

    FPAC-TV to begin airing Democracy Now! news
    FPAC-TV to begin telecasting "Democracy Now!" news weekday mornings starting August 2011.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – In a press release, Bill McColgan, (Executive Director of Framingham Public Access), announced FPAC-TV will begin carrying the daily, independent, award-winning news program, “Democracy Now!

    According to McColgan, FPAC-TV received a “very large number of requests” from Framingham residents to have the show broadcast on the town’s public access station.

    The show is scheduled to air weekdays (Monday through Friday) at 8:00 a.m. beginning the first week of August.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Ever since Community Cablevision came to town in the 1970’s, one-by-one, most people took down the rabbit ears or roof-top antennae and ran coaxial cable into their homes instead.

    Today there are several options available to Framingham residents in regard to how they obtain “tv signal”.

    Choices range from using a digital converter box connected to those old rabbit ears or aerial antennae, by “cable”, by satellite — or a popular choice lately: foregoing traditional formal television programming and watching news, entertainment and other forms of video on an internet connected device.

    Cable providers have long realized that improvements in speed and quality of online video transmission would make people less dependent on traditional television as a media source and today cable tv is usually bundled into some form of broadband cable access.

    Framingham’s cable t.v., internet and residential phone needs are served primarily by three companies;  Comcast, RCN and (more…)
