    Framingham High School Drama Production, final Performance by leaving for 2010 Scottland Fringe Festival

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – In 2008, Framingham High School’s Drama Company performed “Once on This Island”. The production won seven out of ten awards in state-wide competition, including best Musical, Director, Ensemble, Orchestra, Lighting Design, Scenic Design, and Technical Crew.

    When FHS-DC was selected to perform in Scotland in August – as part of the world’s largest arts festival – Director Donna Wresinski decided that “Once on This Island” was the show to do. “Now people have one more chance to see this award-winning production right here in Framingham, MA – before it goes international in Edinburgh,” said Wresinski.

  • Memorial Commemorative Bus Trip

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – On Sunday May 28 the Elks of Framingham will subsidize a bus to Bourne National Cemetery to observe the annual Memorial Commemorative Event to be held at this site on Cape Cod. The event is for all those who had worn the uniform of the various branches of our military.

    The bus trip includes a box lunch on the way as well as a barbeque at the Elks afterward. The trip leaves the Elks parking lot at 450 Union Ave at 10:15am promptly and returns for a barbeque at 4:30pm.

    The cost to anyone, (public invited), is a mere $10 with a check made out to “FRAMINGHAM ELKS” PO Box 4747, Framingham, MA 01704. Seating is limited so send in your check as to not be disappointed.

    A truly patriotic event that includes the Maritime Academy Band, a 21 gun salute by 105 mm howitzers of the Massachusetts National Guard, a possible flyover of helicopters of the aviation unit of the Guard and a 25 wreath presentation by various organizations present.

    With the cost of gas, the hassles of driving and an opportunity for one to really see what it’s all about how our state veterans organizations honors those who served, come, and send your reservation check and be counted as one who “SUPPORTS THE TROOPS.”
