    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Town of Framingham has announced the details of the 2013 “Household Hazardous Waste Day” which will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013, at McCarthy Elementary, 8 Flagg Drive from 9:00am – 1:00pm, (with NO late arrivals!)

    The recycling and disposal program is open to Framingham residents only, (who must show Framingham license).  There is no cost for residents to participate.

    The Callahan Senior Center is located at 535 Union Ave, Framingham and is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Town of Framingham is seeking an experienced and qualified candidate for the Director of Elder Services.

    The current Director is retiring and the position maximum salary up to $78,500.

    At nearly 69,000 inhabitants, Framingham is the largest Town in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

    The ideal candidate is responsible for managing and supervising employees, budgets, operations, maintenance, and programs for the Callahan Senior Center.

    Work includes assessing the needs of the senior population, designing and implementing programs to meet those needs, and providing emergency intervention services as appropriate.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Roadwork on several major capital improvement projects in town will continue this week, (Monday through Friday, June 20 – 24, 2011).

    Major delays due to backed up traffic and detours around some of the work sites can add to driving times, so motorists should plan accordingly.

  • Bid For 70 Acre Landscape Contract at Cushing

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Town of Framingham is accepting bid proposals for general landscaping services on the grounds of the former Cushing Hospital property, encompassing an area of approximately 70 acres.

    Services include mowing, leaf removal, shrub trimming and related services.

    Bid specifications will be available Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. to be picked-up at the Procurement Office, Memorial Building, 150 Concord Street – Room 123, 150 Concord Street, Framingham, MA. 01702 or can be requested by e-mailing purchasing@framinghamma.gov.

  • Framingham House Lottery

    Framingham House Lottery

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Town of Framingham is hoping at least three new home owners will be moving into Downtown Framingham this fall.

    In October a lottery agent will be orchestrating the sale of two single family homes and one condominium unit the Town purchased as foreclosed bank owned properties. The homes were purchased using a portion of the $1.2M in Federal Stimulus money awarded to the Town and slated specifically for neighborhood stabilization.

    After purchasing the homes, the Town hired a contractor who rehabilitated the properties to get them ready to go back on the market.

  • Fall 2008 Hazardous Waste Day on October 25

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Town of Framingham’s Fall 2008 Hazardous Waste Day is Saturday, October 25th. Time is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Location is the McCarthy School Parking Lot on Flagg Drive.

    This is for Framingham residents only. Proof of residency is required and photo ID. No commercial waste. Reduce long waits by combining waste with your neighbors and car pool.

    Accepted: pesticides, herbicides, bug sprays, rodent poisons, paint thinner, urethans, oil or enamel paints, lead based paints, pool & spa chemicals, concentrated fertilizers, cleaning solvents, caustic cleaners, degreaser, photo chemicals, old gasoline/kerosene, diesel oil, aerosol cans containing paint, mercury-containing devices.

    Do NOT Bring: radioactive waste, explosives, gunpowder, flares, ammunition, PCB oils, bulk chemicals/oil, asbestos, medical/biochemical waste or latex paint.
