    Notice is hereby given that Massachusetts Development Finance Agency will hold a public hearing on March 24, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at 89 Shrewsbury Street, Worcester, Massachusetts, to consider the issuance of revenue bonds by Massachusetts Development Finance Agency in an amount not exceeding $6,500,000 for the benefit of Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center, Inc. (the “Borrower” which term includes in this notice any parent, subsidiaries, or other affiliates thereof).

    BOSTON, MA – In the old days, when Massachusetts State government had items to auction off they would publish a public notice in several major newspapers and mail out a list to a few hundred in-the-know auction hounds, junk dealers, surplus buyers and collectors of all sorts of things.

    The state would then take sealed bids for larger items, and arrange public auctions  where a real live auctioneer would call out, “Who’ll give me $5.00?, …$4.00? $3.00?” …the bidding would start — and then usually end just as quickly — with many valuable items selling for pennies on the dollar.

  • Rte 9 Resurfacing Project / Informational Meeting

    MetroWest Growth Management Committee, The 495/MetroWest Partnership and representatives from The Highway Division of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will hold an informational meeting regarding the upcoming Rte 9 resurfacing project on Thursday, April 1, at 7:00PM in Framingham Town Hall.

    According to MassDOT, the Route 9 resurfacing project in Natick and Framingham has been awarded, a contract signed and a Notice To Proceed issued.

    On Thursday April 1 at 7 pm at the Framingham Town Hall, MassDOT representatives will be presenting an update on the Route 9 Resurfacing Project from Walnut Street in Natick to the Framingham/Southborough Town Line.

    The purpose of the meeting is to inform town officials, abutters, interested citizens and regional employers about the logistics of the upcoming construction project. Items to be discussed include construction schedule, temporary impacts, and communication procedures.  It should be noted that the majority of construction will be on a night-time schedule, typically from 9:00PM to 5:30AM.
