    Second Pre-Halloween Snow Falls on Framingham

    FRAMINGHAM, MA– Having snow even once in October is pretty rare for eastern Massachusetts, but for the second time in three days, snow fell on Framingham.

    As predicted, precipitation moving up the U.S. eastern seaboard combined with low pressure and declining temperatures resulted in a Nor’Easter dropping approximately 3″ of wet snow in town between 5:00pm and 10:00pm today, (Saturday October 29th, 2011).

    The small amount of snow which fell on Thursday, (October 27th, 2011), did not accumulate on roadways as the pavement was still warm from the day’s moderate temperatures.

    Today’s snow did accumulate — enough so that snow removal equipment was called out to plow commercial parking lots and some (more…)

    Another snow day!

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Due to snow, Framingham Public Schools are canceled today, Friday, January 21st, 2011.

    School administration central offices will be open during normal hours.

    Residents are reminded that there is no parking on arterial roads during a snow emergency, and that even if cars are parked legally on non-arterial roads they may be towed if they interfere with snow plowing.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Due to expected heavy snowfall, Framingham Public Schools and school administration offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.

    Residents are reminded that there is no parking on arterial roads during a snow emergency, and that even if cars are parked legally on non-arterial roads they may be towed if they interfere with snow plowing.

  • Today’s Storm Prediction Means Early School Dismissal

    Snow Emergency in Effect

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Today, Wednesday, February 10th,2010, will be an early dismissal day. Due to inclement weather,with several inches of snow predicted, students will be released at the school’s early dismissal times. Please call your students’ schools for details.

    The Framingham Police Department has advised residents of a snow emergency in effect through Thursday.

    Parking is prohibited on all major arteries as designated by red and white signage.

    Reminder: The Winter Parking Ban prohibits parking on the odd numbered side of the street.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Due to the impending serious snow storm on December 19, the Framingham Police Department has advised residents of a snow emergency in effect from noon on December 19 until midnight on December 20th.

    Parking is prohibited on all major arteries as designated by red and white signage.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Due to the impending snow storm the Framingham Superintendent of Schools office announced the following changes.

    For Friday, December 19, 2008 — No Preschool classes.

    All public schools will follow the Early Release Schedule as outlined below:

    • FHS / CAMERON – 10:50 AM
    • MCCARTHY HALF DAY KINDERGARTEN 10:55 AM
    • FULLER AND WALSH MIDDLE SCHOOL – 11:25 AM
    • HALF DAY KINDERGARTEN AT OTHER ELEM. SCHOOLS – 12:00 PM
    • MCCARTHY SCHOOL (including FULL DAY K) – 12:15 PM
    • ALL OTHER ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS (including FULL DAY K) – 1:00 PM
