Framingham Public Works Construction & Traffic Alerts (Week of April 10-16, 2022)

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Motorists are advised that there may be detours or slow moving traffic due to construction work being performed during daytime hours on the following roads in Framingham during the week of April 10th through the 16th, 2022. Please note: construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.

Signs placed near construction sites advise drivers that they should be prepared to stop.

The following roads and areas where Framingham Department of Public Works, Eversource, Verizon, MassDOT and private contractors are performing roadway and infrastructure improvements may cause delays or detours for motorists –

Roadwork Nears Completion for Winter

Framingham Traffic Alerts, Detours, Road & Bridge Construction, December 12th through 16th, 2011

FRAMINGHAM, MA – After months of work on the East Framingham Sewer Improvement project, the Fountain Street Bridge replacement and other capital improvement projects to roads and sewers in town, crews will soon be wrapping up construction for the winter.

Still, motorists may experience delays due to the following work sites and detours during the week of December 12th through 16th, 2011.

Work along Concord Street, (Rt. 126, north of Worcester Road), this week will include site restoration between School Street and Summer Street, including site cleaning activities, paving, loaming and seeding. From 7:00am to 4:30pm, police will be directing a single lane alternating traffic management plan while construction activities are in progress.

Auburn Street will continue to be closed to through traffic. A detour will remain in place while construction work is (more…)

Motorists driving on Concord St., approaching the top of A Street should be prepared to stop as Police controlled single-lane alternating traffic patterns are in use at this construction site.

Delays due to traffic and detours around some of the work sites can add to driving times, so motorists should plan accordingly.

Expect Delays at Rt. 126 / Rt. 30 Intersection

Sewer work near Rt. 30 / Rt. 126 intersection to take longer than expected.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Dennis Paulsen, (Town Meeting Member for Precinct 9, and Vice Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Works), recently spoke with key Town of Framingham personnel and the construction supervisor responsible for the East Framingham Sewer Construction project regarding the work being done near the interestion of Rt. 30 (Cochituate Road), and Rt. 126, (Concord Street).

Paulsen was informed that this week, (July 5th – July 8th, 2011), crews will be cutting diagonally across Concord Street — from Landseer Ave. to the Framingham Cooperative Bank, and that the work will be done during weekday working hours and that during the construction, Rt. 126 will be restricted to (1) lane (more…)
