    Jingle Bell Days at Robinsons Hardware
    Jingle Bell Days are here again!

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – This year The Friends of Saxonville are partnering with Robinsons Hardware to create an expanded Discover Saxonville / Jingle Bell Day event on December 1st, 2012 from noon to 5:00pm.

    Many of the businesses in the Saxonville Village Center, from the Pinefield Shopping Center on Nicholas Road to the Walgreen Shopping Center on School Street will participate. Plus, organizations who call Saxonville their home — schools, churches, VFW Post 929, Studio Artists’ in the Mill, and the Scouts — will make a distinct contribution to this unique community experience.

    Begin your experience by signing in at the Pinefield Shopping Center. At that time you will receive a detailed program of the day’s events and your own Jingle Bell. Between Noon and 2 PM, the entire family is welcome to take a free Horse (more…)

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Be sure to make your way down to Saxonville on December 4, 2010 from 11:00am – 4:00pm for the 6th Annual “Jingle Bell Days“.

    For the past five years, Jeff Underwood of Robinson’s Hardware has pulled together the other merchants at Pinefield Shopping Plaza, (along with a few 2-legged and 4-legged special guests) for “Jingle Bell Days”.

    This year Toys for Tots are being collected for the Marine Corps., Please Bring a Toy to Donate!

    Petting Zoo, Camel Rides and More in Pinefield

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – If you head down to Pinefield Shopping Center this week you might find a camel or kangaroo in your usual parking spot.

    Once again, Records & Burpee Traveling Zoo will be set up in the parking lot directly across from the McAullife Branch Library June 9 – 13, 2010 from 11:00am until approximately 9:00pm.

    The kids petting zoo, camel rides, pony rides, moonwalk rides and carnival foods concessions, (cotton candy, carmel apples, fried dough and more), are always a popular end of the school year treat for families with young kids.

    Garden Clubs’ Annual Plant Sale Saturday

    hostasFRAMINGHAM, MA – On Saturday, May 22, 2010 the Pinefield Garden Club and the Simpson Park Garden Clubs are holding their Annual Perennial Plant Sale & Raffle on the Framingham Centre Common from from 9:00am until 12:00 noon.

    Perennials & herbs grown by members will be for sale. Each year the club brings beautiful plants — you will not be disappointed with the selection, (or the very reasonable prices).

    Come early for the best selection — rain or shine!

    In addition to the plant sale, the clubs are also raffling off many items including manicures, pedicures and gift certificates to local businesses and restaurants.

    Knowledgeable garden club members will be on hand to answer any questions you have about the plants and gardening.

    Framingham Centre Common is located on Edgell Rd. just north of Rt. 9, near the State College exit.  Parking may be available in the Village Hall parking lot, or in church parking lots next to the common.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA –Bring the family to Pinefield Shopping Center, Water St. & Nicholas Rd., in Saxonville, for a day of family activities, specials, and giveaways on Saturday, December 10, 2005.

    Robinsons Ace Hardware presents free horse-drawn hayrides from 10 – 1 p.m. There will be storytelling at 11, 12, and 1 at Amazing Things Arts Center and Hometowne Hotdogs will have free pictures with Santa from 2 – 4 p.m. Waterstreet Wine and Spirits will offer wine tasting from 1 – 6 p.m.

    Daring Diamonds will be 25 percent off at Advanced Gems & Jewelry and Robinsons Ace Hareware and other merchants will offer specials throughout the day. Boy Scout Troop 210 will be selling Christmas wreaths and the Friends of Saxonville will feature Saxonville gifts.

    There will be a free raffle for a $ 100 gift certificate to InnSeason Resorts from framingham.com plus balloons, goodie bags, and more!

  • Discover Saxonville on Sat., June 11th

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Friends of Saxonville invite you to Discover the Pinefield Shopping Center in Saxonville during a day of family fun on Saturday, June 11th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    The program includes a morning “round-up” of Town trucks and vehicles for youngsters to explore as part of the Framingham Library’s “Going Places” Summer Reading program Kick-Off. A classic car cruise-in will complement the town vehicles.

    The Pinefield Shopping Center restaurants will offer specials and Robinsons Ace Hardware will present Weber Grill day with specials and 15 percent off all grill accessories when purchasing a grill. The merchants will participate in a flower beautification competition while sidewalk artists compete for “Chalk It Up” prizes.

    There will be a huge yard sale to benefit the Friends of Saxonville projects. Donations are welcome! Please call Jim Barry at 508-877-1832.

    Amazing Things Arts Center will host Jazz musicians and storytelling.

  • FRAMINGHAM, MA – Saxonville offers lots to see and do in the first part of June!

    On National Trails Day, on June 4th, tour the Cochituate Rail Trail from 10 – 11:30 a.m. and learn about its natural and historic features. Park at 500 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham. Check in across the street at the Cochituate Brook Reservation, (the grassy cleared area between Crispus Attucks bridge and Suburban Shell Gas Station).

    On June 7th (rain date June 9th) Art conservator Rika Smith McNally will be professionally restoring our WWII Memorial located in front of the Athenaeum Hall on Concord St. Her work is sponsored by the Framingham Historical Society & Museum, Perini Corp., and MetroWest Homes.   • Amazing Things Relocating to Saxonville

    Arts Center finds new home in Pinefield Shopping Center

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Amazing Things, the new art center in MetroWest, has announced that it will open a 90 seat venue next to Famous Pizza in Pinefield Shopping Center in Saxonville.

    Amazing Things hopes to open its new location in April. Larger events will be scheduled in the Framingham Civic League or in Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building, Downtown Framingham. Events organized by Amazing Things will be part of the START Partnership Spring into Arts! calendar.
