    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Motorists are advised that there may be construction work being performed during daytime hours on the following roads in Framingham during the week of May 30th – June 5th, 2021. Please note: Construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.

    Edgell Road Gas Main Replacement – Eversource gas continues replacing gas main on Edgell Road between the Nobscot intersection and Donovan Drive. Expect moderate delays. Lane shifts and/or a one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.

    2nd Annual Lager Cask Fundraiser to benefit One Mission at The Tavern

    The Tavern in Downtown Framingham will host a fundraiser to support “One Mission”, a MA based pediatric cancer charity.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – During the 2013 Memorial Day Weekend, on Friday May 24th and Saturday May 25th, The Tavern in Downtown Framingham will be hosting the 2nd Annual Lager Cask Fundraiser (Party!!!) to benefit One Mission.

    “One Mission” is a Massachusetts based charity and serves the needs of pediatric cancer patients and their families living in the greater New England area.

    There will be 24 lager casks available, and tickets are being sold each of the (3) two and a half hour “sessions”.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Sponsored by Framingham Lodge 1264 B.P.O., ELKS, a Veterans Tribute including a bus trip visit to the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne followed by a barbeque at the Elks Lodge is planned for Sunday, May 30, 2010, (the day before Memorial Day).

    A single Deluxe Ritchie Bus is reserved for the day, with seating for only 55 people. Reservations are on a first come – first served basis.  The cost is only $20 and includes; bus trip, box lunch and a barbeque at the Elk’s Lodge upon return from the Cape.

    Trip Schedule: (Sunday, May 30, 2010)

    • 10:15 am – Bus leaves – ELKS Parking Lot, 450 Union Ave., Framingham
    • 1:00 pm – Memorial Day Ceremony
    • 4:00 pm – Return for Lodge Barbeque

    The Veterans Tribute is open to all veterans, friends and the general public.

    To make reservations: Send a check for $20 made payable to “Framingham Lodge No.1264 B.P.O. ELKS”, and mail to P.O. BOX 4747, Framingham MA 01704.  RSVP w/check deadline is May 27, 2010.

    The day promises to be a truly patriotic event with the Maritime Band, a wreath placement ceremony and other Memorial Day events.  Bring a camera!

  • Flag Replacement Volunteers Needed

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham Veterans are looking for volunteers to help distribute and place 4,000 American flags in seven Framingham cemeteries.

    Tom Davitt, Veterans Service Officer, 508-620-4842; and Nick Paganella, Veterans Council, 508-872-5895, are inviting volunteers to call them. Davit and Paganella are organizing the replacement of worn flags at the gravesides of all who served in the armed forces by Memorial Day. They hope parents may sign up for the project with their children as a patriotic learning activity.
