FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University football team received three turnovers from their defense which the offense converted into 14 points as the Rams defeated Plymouth State University 34-3 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action this afternoon at Framingham’s Bowditch Field.
With the win, the Rams remain atop the MASCAC standings at 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference, while the Panthers slip to 2-5 on the year and now 1-4 in the MASCAC.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University football team forced five turnovers which they converted into 19 points as the Rams defeated the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth 26-14 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action this afternoon at Maple Street Field.
Entering the game both teams were 2-0 in the MASCAC and with the victory, the Rams remain unblemished in the conference at 3-0 and 4-1 overall. The Corsairs fall to 3-2 on the year and are now 2-1 in the MASCAC.
The Rams defense held the Corsairs to 188 yards of total offense – 111 rushing and 77 passing – in addition to forcing the five turnovers. The Rams recorded four interceptions and recovered a fumble that led to three Framingham touchdowns.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University football team once again overcame a slow start to score 19 fourth quarter points as they defeated Worcester State University 29-14 in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) regular season finale for both squads this afternoon at Bowditch Field.
With the win, the Rams improve to 9-1 on the season and finish the year a perfect 8-0 in the conference. They await word on a possible at-large berth in the NCAA Division III Football Tournament when pairings and seedings are announced tomorrow night at 6 p.m. by the NCAA. The Lancers see their regular season end at 7-3 overall and 5-3 in the MASCAC.
Sophomore Jalen Green (Brockton, MA) led the Rams with 104 yards rushing on 27 attempts, while quarterback Matt Silva (Dracut, MA) had seven rushes for 40 yards and a touchdown. Silva struggled throwing the ball completing just 15 of 42 for 201 yards with three touchdowns and two picks. Framingham, MA – The Framingham State University football team scored 33 unanswered points, all in the second half, as the Rams defeated Bridgewater State University 33-10 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action this afternoon at Bowditch Field.
With the win, the Rams clinch the 2014 MASCAC Football Championship as they improve to 8-1 on the year and remain perfect at 7-0 in the MASCAC. The Rams have won five straight MASCAC Titles. The loss drops the Bears to 4-5 on the year and 3-4 in the conference.
Bridgewater State’s defense was the story in the first half keeping the Rams offense scoreless despite being inside the Bears one yard line twice. The Bears defense came up with the stop on a 4th and goal from the one yard line with 1:43 left in the first. Then the Bears kept the Rams out of the end zone on a third and inches in the early stages of the second quarter forcing a field goal attempt that hit the upright.
The Bears offense took the game’s opening possession and drove 64 yards on 10 plays and capped the drive with a 20 yard field goal from Colin Neri (Upton, MA) to take a 3-0 lead with 10:12 showing in the first.
The game would remain 3-0 until the closing minutes of the half when the Bears took possession with less than a minute remaining and scored the game’s first touchdown on a 37 yard strike from Danny Higgins (Manahawkin, NJ) to Travis Bassett (Littleton, MA) with seven ticks on the clock.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University football team built a 35-6 halftime lead and overcame three second half turnovers to defeat the Fitchburg State University Falcons 42-21 in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) match-up on the inaugural weekend of MASCAC football.
The Rams improve to 2-1 on the year and 1-0 in the conference, while the Falcons fall to 1-2 overall and are now 0-1 in the MASCAC.
Senior running back Melikke Van Alstyne (Salem, Mass.) had an outstanding day en route to his third straight Calder Award. FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University defense stopped the Bridgewater State University Bears on a fourth down with 1:29 remaining in the game to preserve a 28-20 victory in New England Football Conference (NEFC) Bogan Division action in Framingham on Homecoming and Family Weekend.
With the win the Rams even their record at 2-2 on the year and 1-0 in the division, while the Bears suffer their first loss and are 2-1 overall and 0-1 in the Bogan Division.
