  • Metrowest Visitors Bureau Announces Mini Grant Program

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The MetroWest Visitors Bureau announced that their annual mini grant program is now accepting applications, (starting January 21, 2022). Designed for marketing projects that will promote tourism in MetroWest, mini grants are available for funds up to $5,000 each.

    The MWVB will consider applications for projects devoted to marketing a MetroWest event, attraction, business, service, or cultural or recreational offering.

  • New People of Color Historical Resource at Framingham History Center

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham History Center (FHC) has completed a new project to increase the accessibility of collections relating to Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) stories from 1600-1800.

    The FHC contracted Mary McNeil, a PhD Candidate at Harvard University, as a Scholar-in-Residence to create a finding aid of collections relating to Framingham’s People of Color from 1600-1800.

  • MA State Police Framingham Unresolved Cases Unit Creates Playing Card Deck

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Massachusetts State Police (MSP), in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Correction and District Attorney’s Offices, have created a deck of cards featuring victims of unresolved homicides and missing persons. Each card in the deck, which seeks to generate leads to assist investigators in solving the crimes, features a photo of and information about a victim.
