    FSU Rams Women’s Lacrosse Shoots Past Bridgewater State Bears 20-7

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham State University Women’s Lacrosse Team saw seven players tally goals as the Rams cruised to a 20-7 victory over Bridgewater State University Bears this afternoon in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at FSU’s Maple Street Field.

    The Rams raced out to a 3-0 lead midway through the first. Tara Palermo converted a free position opportunity and Rachel Erickson and Madison Skiff added goals.

    Bridgewater State got on the board on an unassisted goal by #12 with just over five to play in the first, but the Rams closed the first with back-to-back goals and led 5-1 after one.

    FSU RAMS Softball Swings Past Bridgewater State 3-1 and 9-1

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham State University softball team swept a doubleheader with Bridgewater State University this afternoon at Maple Street Field. The Rams took the opener by a score of 3-1 before their bats came alive in a game two 9-1 five inning victory.

    GAME 1:

    In the opener, the Rams got on the board in the bottom of the first inning with a pair of runs on RBI singles from Laela Pepin and Kirsten Dick.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – After losing the entire 2020 season, the Framingham State University softball team returned to the field this afternoon and used the long ball to defeat Emmanuel 7-1 in the opener and rallied from a two run deficit to finish the sweep of a non-conference doubleheader with a 3-2 victory over the Saints at Maple Street Field.

    FSU Baseball Takes a Pair of One Run Games from Fitchburg State

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University baseball team received strong pitching performances from senior Matt DiCato (Winthrop, Mass.) and freshman Mike Andrews (Stoneham, Mass.) as the Rams defeated Fitchburg State 2-1 in eight innings and 3-2 to sweep a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) doubleheader this afternoon at Bowditch Field.

    With the pair of wins, the Rams improve to 10-8 on the year and are now 3-1 in the MASCAC, while the Falcons fall to 13-8 overall and 0-4 in the conference.

    FSU Football Celebrates Homecoming with 42-21 Victory over Fitchburg State

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University football team built a 35-6 halftime lead and overcame three second half turnovers to defeat the Fitchburg State University Falcons 42-21 in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) match-up on the inaugural weekend of MASCAC football.

    The Rams improve to 2-1 on the year and 1-0 in the conference, while the Falcons fall to 1-2 overall and are now 0-1 in the MASCAC.

    Senior running back Melikke Van Alstyne (Salem, Mass.) had an outstanding day en route to his third straight Calder Award. The Calder Award is presented annually to the most valuable player of the Homecoming Day game in memory of former Ram football captain John Calder. Van Alstyne accounted for 215 of the (more…)

    Framingham State Men’s Soccer Captures 2011 MASCAC Tournament Championship

    Framingham, MA – Framingham State University Freshman Bryan DaSilva was selected the Tournament’s Most Valuable Player as the top seeded FSU Men’s Soccer team defeated second seed Salem State 2-0 this afternoon in the finals of the 2011 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, (MASCAC), Men’s Soccer Championship at Maple Street Field.

    With the win, Framingham State improves to 8-8-3 on the year and the Rams receive the MASCAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships. Pairings and seeding for the NCAA Division III Championships will be announced on Monday. The Rams have made back-to-back appearances in the Tournament Championship game against Salem State and avenged last season’s 3-0 loss in the Tournament Final.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 win tonight over Elms College in non-conference action this evening at Framingham’s Athletic Center. The Rams won in straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-16. With the win, the Rams improve to 8-5 on the year, while the Blazers slip to 4-7.

    The Rams jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first set on a block by junior Jackie Friel and extended the lead to 7-2 on an ace by freshman Kayla Bertrand. The Rams extended their lead to 17-6 before Elms College junior Christina Martin picked up a pair of kills and (more…)

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Lasell College women’s volleyball team swept a tri-match this afternoon defeating both Framingham State University and Daniel Webster College in five sets by a score of 3-2, while in the days other match the Rams defeated Daniel Webster 3-0.

    After the two victories, the Lasers improve to 6-5 on the year and the Rams move to 7-5, while the Eagles suffer their first two losses of the season and are now 6-2.

    Lasell won a hard fought match to open the day defeating the Rams 3-2.  Framingham State took the opening set by a score of 25-22 before Lasell responded winning the next two 26-24 and 25-18.  Lasell held the lead for most of the fourth set before the Rams rallied to (more…)
