    FRAMINGHAM, MA(From Press Release)Rep. Tom Sannicandro, (D-Ashland), will be moderating a forum, “Spotlight on Health Care: Exploring Single Payer Option” from 6:30p.m until 9:30p.m., Tuesday, July 26th, 2011 in the Forum Room of the D. Justin McCarthy Center at Framingham State University, 100 State Street, Framingham, MA.

    Rep. Sannicandro will moderate a four person panel featuring Senator Jamie Eldridge, the chief sponsor of single payer legislation in the Massachusetts legislature; Ben Day, the executive director of Mass-Care, a single payer advocacy organization; Dr. Gerald Friedman, a professor of economics at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst; and Alex Robbins, a small business owner.

    Grants will be awarded through a competitive proposal review process, to support and extend comprehensive and coordinated services enabling persons age 60 and over to remain living in their homes and communities.

    Notice is hereby given that Massachusetts Development Finance Agency will hold a public hearing on March 24, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at 89 Shrewsbury Street, Worcester, Massachusetts, to consider the issuance of revenue bonds by Massachusetts Development Finance Agency in an amount not exceeding $6,500,000 for the benefit of Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center, Inc. (the “Borrower” which term includes in this notice any parent, subsidiaries, or other affiliates thereof).

  • Health Care Reform Discussion

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – A Discussion of Health Care Reform will take place on Wednesday June 22, 7:00 P.M. in the Public Hearing Room, Lower Level of the Framingham Memorial Building, 150 Concord Street.

    John McDonough, Executive Director of “Health Care for All” and State Representative Debby Blumer, Sponsor of the “Health Access and Affordability Act” will discuss proposals for health care reform.
