    Access Framingham is located at the rear of the Fuller Middle School, at 31 Flagg Drive in Framingham, MA.

    As part of the festivities, attendees can record a free DVD with holiday wishes for family and friends, and/or record a holiday greeting from your family to be telecast on AF-TV’s cable channels and website.

    March 2012 Filmmaking and Video Editing Classes at AF-TV

    Access Framingham offers members classes in video production, video editing and more!

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Interested in video production? This month, (March 2012), Access Framingham will be offering two classes, one in Film-making and another on using Final Cut Pro editing software.

    Film-making will be led by Access Framingham Operations Manager Melanie Hardy, who will draw on her experience in both film and single-camera video production to teach the best techniques in fictional storytelling and making entertaining and intriguing movies.

    The Film-making Class will be held on three consecutive Thursday evenings: March 8th, 15th and 22nd, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Seats are still available!

    New Daytime Classes at Access Framingham

    AF-TV to offer daytime television production classes starting in January of 2012.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Interested in learning about television production? Access Framingham has announced new daytime classes will be offered at the AF-TV Community Media Center beginning on January 18th, 2012.

    The first daytime workshop will be a three session course in Basic Camcorder use, Access Framingham’s popular entry-level course on how to shoot great video using the studio’s professional-level camcorders. The camcorder workshop will take place on Wednesdays from 11:00am to 1:00pm, from January 18th through February 1st.

    All Access Framingham workshops are included in the $30 annual membership fee.

    FPAC-TV Unveils New Name and Logo

    FPAC-TV rebrands itself as ''Access Framingham'' and will use new logo (above) and new website address: www.accessfram.tv

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – At Monday night’s Annual Meeting of Framingham Public Access Corporation, FPAC members heard about the successes of the past year and challenges to come for Framingham’s Community Media Center. Then the board and staff added a surprise announcement.

    Beginning this week, FPAC will operate with a new name and logo, one that FPAC officials believe will reflect the organization’s mission to engage, serve, and enrich the community by developing programming by and for the people of Framingham, providing educational opportunities, and facilitating the exchange of information through traditional and new media.

    The new name for the five-year-old organization will be “Access Framingham“.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA– In a summer of Friday nights marked by rain or the threat of it, the weather was perfect for the final “Concert on the Green” for the 2011 season.

    Local band “3 OF A KIND“, (from Natick), featuring Ron Taddeo (lead guitar), Richie Wood (bass) and Jim McGee (drums) eased their way through sets of mostly classic rock from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s with a healthy dose of 50’s oldies in the mix.

    Throughout the night Wood and Taddeo switched off playing lead while McGee, part showman and 100% drummer provided percussive fills that are as much a part of the band’s sound as any guitar riff or lyric could be.

    FPAC-TV to begin airing Democracy Now! news
    FPAC-TV to begin telecasting "Democracy Now!" news weekday mornings starting August 2011.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – In a press release, Bill McColgan, (Executive Director of Framingham Public Access), announced FPAC-TV will begin carrying the daily, independent, award-winning news program, “Democracy Now!

    According to McColgan, FPAC-TV received a “very large number of requests” from Framingham residents to have the show broadcast on the town’s public access station.

    The show is scheduled to air weekdays (Monday through Friday) at 8:00 a.m. beginning the first week of August.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Hometown band “Common Ground” played to a huge audience last night at the Framingham Centre Common.

    Drawing a diverse mix the crowd included families with small children, teens, “twenty-somethings”, baby-boomers, empty nesters, retirees and seniors — all peacefully co-existing for a few hours to enjoy the open-air Concert on the Common“.

    The Infractions Funky Music Fills the Common

    FRAMINGHAM, MAThe Infractions packed the house in a July 1st, 2011 performance at the Framingham “Concerts on the Green”.

    Due to rain last week, this was the first night a band played this year in the free summer concert series that’s been running on the Framingham Centre Common every year since 1996.

    Fuller Middle Students learning t.v. production in after-school club are finalists in county-wide Public Service Announcement contest.

    Framingham, MA – Sixth and seventh graders from the Fuller Middle School who have participated in an after-school program at Framingham Public Access are among the finalists in Middlesex County District Attorney Gerry Leone’s new Cyber-Safety PSA Contest.

    The youngsters have been learning television production skills under the watchful eyes of Fuller Middle School teacher Patrick Galligan and FPAC’s Francesca Cerutti-Harris. The weekly classes have been part of a partnership between the 21st Century After School Programs, the Framingham (more…)

    Joseph P. Keefe Technical School juniors Brad Naugler of Holliston and Daniel Coelho, Matt Rivers, and Hugo DeAlmeida of Framingham are serving as video production interns at Framingham Public Access Corporation (FPAC).

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Four Joseph P. Keefe Technical School juniors are learning Video Production skills through hands-on experience at their internships at Framingham Public Access Corporation (FPAC).

    The internship opportunities were coordinated by FPAC Executive Director Bill McColgan, Keefe Tech Superintendent-Director James Lynch, and School Committee member and FPAC Board of Directors member John Kahn. “We sat down and discussed creating a community partnership between our organizations,” said McColgan. “We thought that creating these internship opportunities were a great first step.”

    Daniel Coelho, Hugo DeAlmeida, and Matt Rivers of Framingham and Brad Naugler of Holliston were chosen as student interns by Keefe Administrators based on recommendations from their teachers.

    Keefe Tech School Admissions Counselor Faith Chrisom facilitated the internship schedules, arranging for the students to work in teams of (more…)
