Traffic Alert: Less Road, Sewer and Bridge Detours
Danforth Street Bridge detour, Framingham, MA
    Danforth Street Bridge remains closed.

FRAMINGHAM, MA– For the first time this year, there is actually less road work, less sewer construction and should be less detours and traffic delays in Framingham.

With winter coming many of Framingham’s capital construction projects will be paving over the work sites that are either completed, or will be put on hold until the spring thaw.

The Fountain Street bridge is no longer on the list!  Work to finish that project has been completed this week and motorists can once again use the bridge.

Night work along Rt. 126, south of Rt. 9 – near Downtown Framingham, construction crews will begin to install crosswalks, (on Concord Street between Gorman Road and Lincoln Street), on Friday, November 18th through Sunday, November 20th during the overnight hours. Construction activities (more…)

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Long recognized as one of the worst things about Downtown Framingham, traffic along the Rt. 126 corridor through the Rt. 135 intersection and rail crossing is about to get even worse — temporarily.

  • Digital Billboards

Clear Channel Communications' two-sided digital billboard, I-495, Lawrence, MA.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Urban blight. Billboards.  Downtown Framingham has billboards and most in town would like to see them gone.  The majority of the billboards are owned and maintained by Clear Channel Communications, (www.clearchannel.com).

The problem for the Town is that the billboards are “grandfathered“, meaning they were erected when no sign bylaws prohibited them, so the Town can’t just order them removed.
