    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Motorists are advised that there may be detours or slow moving traffic due to construction work being performed during daytime hours on the following roads in Framingham during the week of April 10th through the 16th, 2022. Please note: construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Motorists are advised that there may be construction work being performed during daytime hours on the following roads in Framingham during the week of August 29th though September 4th, 2021. Please note: construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change. 

    Blackberry Lane Sewer Pump Station – Pump station work continues. Blackberry Lane at Millwood Street will be closed to through traffic during work hours. A detour will be in effect. Please seek an alternate route.

    Arlington Street Water and Sewer Improvements Design Work – contractor will conduct soil explorations on Alexander, Summit, and Eames Street. Expect minor delays at times.

    July 31, 2021 Hazardous Waste Day, Framingham

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Department of Public Works (DPW) will host Household Hazardous Waste Day, Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00p.m. at the DPW Operations Center, 100 Western Ave., Framingham MA 01702.

    Household hazardous waste is banned from disposal in trash or recycling by state law. The DPW’s Sanitation Division sponsors annual household hazardous waste disposal events which are FREE and open to all Framingham residents.

    Residents can bring their household hazardous waste to be disposed of properly, (see list of accepted items below).

    Proof of residency is required.

    Beware: Unlicensed Driveway Paving Contractor Operating in Framingham

    Asphalt heaves and cracks in winter from poor drainage due to poor planning, a bad mix or poor workmanship.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Department of Public Works (DPW) and Police Department have been notified about several occurrences with a un-licensed company offering “discount” driveway paving work.

    The company offers paving services at a discounted rate, claiming the job can be completed that day with hot top mix leftover from another job. Residents who have hired this them say the company offers no contact information or written contract and requests payment in cash or check upon completion of work.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Motorists are advised that there may be construction work being performed during daytime hours on the following roads in Framingham during the week of April 25th – May 1st, 2021. Please note: Construction schedules are weather permitting and subject to change.

    Edgell Road Gas Main Replacement – Eversource gas will continue replacing gas main on Edgell Road between the Nobscot intersection and Donovan Drive. Expect moderate delays. Lane shifts and/or a one-way alternating traffic pattern will be in effect.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Starting the week of April 5, the Framingham Department of Public Works will begin its Citywide Street Sweeping Program.

    Street sweeping will be completed in zones. Zone 1 is scheduled for Monday-Tuesday, April 5-6, weather permitting. View the Citywide Sweeping Program Map to reference which zone your street/road is located in.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA– Having snow even once in October is pretty rare for eastern Massachusetts, but for the second time in three days, snow fell on Framingham.

    As predicted, precipitation moving up the U.S. eastern seaboard combined with low pressure and declining temperatures resulted in a Nor’Easter dropping approximately 3″ of wet snow in town between 5:00pm and 10:00pm today, (Saturday October 29th, 2011).

    The small amount of snow which fell on Thursday, (October 27th, 2011), did not accumulate on roadways as the pavement was still warm from the day’s moderate temperatures.

    Today’s snow did accumulate — enough so that snow removal equipment was called out to plow commercial parking lots and some (more…)
