    Spilka Files Gambling Bill Amendments

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – In an effort to protect municipalities concerned about negative impacts from a bill to expand gaming in the Commonwealth, Senator Karen Spilka, (who represents Framingham and other area towns in the Massachusetts 2nd Middlesex & Norfolk districts), filed amendments today with the Senate Clerk’s Office to strengthen safeguards and provide additional protections for surrounding communities.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – At the J&M Diner on Old Connecticut Path in Framingham today, Elizabeth Warren met with voters after declaring herself a Democratic contender in the race for the seat now held by U.S. Senator Scott Brown, (R-MA).

    The seat which some referred to as “Ted Kennedy’s Seat” during the 2008 election that sent Scott Brown to Washington, had been occupied by Kennedy, the liberal lion from 1962 until his death on August 25, 2009, a reign of nearly 47 years for the former senior senator from Massachusetts.

    Warren, a 62 year old mother of two adult children is; a Democrat, a Methodist, a former Sunday School teacher, an attorney, a Harvard Law Professor, a bankruptcy expert, an author, and according to (more…)

    The Infractions Funky Music Fills the Common

    FRAMINGHAM, MAThe Infractions packed the house in a July 1st, 2011 performance at the Framingham “Concerts on the Green”.

    Due to rain last week, this was the first night a band played this year in the free summer concert series that’s been running on the Framingham Centre Common every year since 1996.

    The Infractions “Play That Funky Music”

    This was also the first time a new stage, built by students from Keefe Tech was used.
