Women’s Comedy Ensemble Featured at Amazing Things

Women’s Comedy ensemble: Cheryl Perreault, Liz Appleby, Dianne Bilyak and Deborah Rocha.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Cheryl Perreault, Liz Appleby, Dianne Bilyak and Deborah Rocha came together when they met at The Mouth, a forum for women performers, poets and writers created by Liz Appleby.

Discovering they could make each other laugh uproariously, they decided to pool their talents and create a fluid, humorous reflection of the world from their unique points of view.

Ventriloquist Kevin Driscoll Features at Amazing Things Comedy Night

Ventriloquist Kevin Driscoll featured in Amazing Things comedy show October 2nd, 2013.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – One of the Boston area’s top ventriloquists, Kevin Driscoll, returns to his hometown, (Framingham), to headline a night of fun, comedy, music and laughs at the Amazing Comedy MIQUE Show at Amazing Things Arts Center in Downtown Framingham, Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013 at 7:30pm.

Driscoll, a techie by day, is General Manager of 1stWorks Corporation, a virtual internet company where he spends ten to twelve hours a day monitoring multiple online systems, (Kevin formerly held executive positions at Carlson Technologies, Microsystems Software and at Digital Equipment Corporation “DEC”).

Dave Hornfischer Joins BoSox Club Board of Directors

Framingham's own David Hornfischer added to the Bosox Club Board of Directors.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – David Hornfischer of Framingham, MA was recently named a director of the BoSox Club, the Red Sox leading fan club.

Hornfischer who recently retired as Senior Vice President/ Treasurer of Boston’s Berklee College of Music, is also a board member of the Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham where his roles are as diverse as organization Treasurer and host of the monthly Amazing Open Comedy Mique Show.

Founded in 1967, The BoSox Club is a non-profit Booster Club that supports the Boston Red Sox. In addition to providing activities such as luncheons and BBQ events with direct access to players and Red Sox personnel, and access to spring training events/tickets, the Club takes an active role in supporting such charities as The Red Sox Foundation, The Jimmy Fund and The Foundation to be Named Later.

One of the most popular BoSox events is their Annual Family Day, where members are treated to a player-run baseball seminar and tickets to a summer game.

Open Mic Comedy Show – May 5, 2010

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Comedic theater features at The Amazing Open Comedy Mique Show on May 5. Host Dave Hornfischer, stated that he is “thrilled to add another comedic category featured at Amazing Things monthly comedy show”. He noted the comedy show in its first year, has featured all forms of comedy including stand-up comics, magicians, jugglers, folk singers, storytellers, and impersonators.

The May 5th 50 minute comedic theater performance and post performance discussion with actor, playwright and director will headline a show that will also include a number of returning and new miquers doing 5 minute bits of PG13 stand up comedy, storytelling, funny folk music and (more…)
