  • FHS Photo Exhibit in Nobscot

    The promotional poster for the January 2011 exhibit was created by Danielle Lagman, a junior in the photo program at FHS.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Students in the Framingham High School “Photo 2” program will have their works on display at Annie’s Book Stop / Espresso Paulo, (in the Nobscot Shopping Center, Water St., Framingham), for the month of January 2011.

    The juried exhibit of approximately 40 original framed photos are the works of FHS upperclassmen enrolled in Rebecca Cauchon’s second year photography program at the high school.

    On January 16, 2010, from 2:00PM to 4:00PM a reception for the student photographers will be held, at which time the judges’ decisions for juried photos will be announced as well as a “People’s Choice” award.

    Photos by the following FHS students will be included in the exhibit: Camille Bauer Lostaunau, Natalie Beier, Zach Bloomstein, Corey Bois, Nicole Caponetti, Nayara Da Silva, Alex De Sena, Noelle Deneault, Marcos Do Canto, Sophie Donahue, Johabe Franco, Dan Frazee, Maria Grandoni, Jenna Hurley, Danielle Lagman, Leo Rangel, Rob Rentel, Chris Starr, Mark Welcome, and independent study students Giles Holbrow and Cameron Burke.

  • Meals on Wheels Needs Volunteer Drivers

    Framingham Meals on Wheels
    The Meals on Wheels program in Framingham is administered by Baypath Edler Services, Inc.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Meals on Wheels urgently needs volunteer drivers for Framingham area routes!

    Meals on Wheels, (the oldest and largest senior nutrition program in the USA), is administered locally by Baypath Elder Services, Inc, of Marlborough.

    Meals on Wheels provides and delivers hot lunches Monday through Friday to home-bound seniors in Framingham and surrounding communities.

    The Framingham routes are part of a four town area, (Framingham, Ashland, Holliston and Hopkinton).  Drivers for these towns all pickup the hot meals at the Ashland Senior Center, then deliver them to (more…)

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The following information is about activities and services at the Callahan Senior Center for the month of January, 2011.

    Monday, January 10th, at 1:30 pm: The Friends of Callahan – entertainment provided by Bill Zolli, Vocalist. Refreshments will be served. Please come and bring a friend!

    Tuesday January 11th, from 9:30 to 10:30 am: New Member Orientation Meeting – If you have just joined Callahan you might want to attend as we enjoy coffee and pastry, answer your questions and seek your input on activities.

    Tuesday, January 11th, at 10:00 am – ‘Staying Healthy! Staying Fit!’ invites you to join us this month for coffee and a discussion of common medications, their side effects and interactions. The discussion will be led by a pharmacologist from Metro-West Medical Center. Bring a list of your current medications including any over the counter drugs you may be taking.
