  • Framingham Public Works Touch-A-Truck & Open House May 20th, 2023

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Department of Public Works is holding an open house with a touch-a-truck event on Saturday, May 20th, 2023.

    The free public event is from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 100 Western Avenue. Attendees can get up close and personal with the DPW vehicles that keep our city running smoothly.

    There will be painting and coloring, sandbox activities, games, and demonstrations during the open house. There will also be light refreshments and snacks, as well as giveaways.

  • Peloton Recalls 2.2 Million Exercise Bikes Due to Fall and Injury Hazards

    Peloton Bikes Model PL01 are being recalled due to faulty seat post which may break and cause injury during use.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Those who own or use Peloton exercise bikes, (which can be found in many Framingham area gyms, hotels, clubs, spas, physical therapists, etc.), should be aware that Peloton has received 35 reports of the seat post breaking and detaching from the bike during use — including 13 reports of injuries including a fractured wrist, lacerations and bruises due to falling from the bike.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The City of Framingham is accepting applications for 11 seats on the Framingham Charter Review Committee.

    Five residents will be appointed by the Mayor, three residents will be appointed by the 9-member School Committee, and three residents will be appointed by the 11-member City Council.
