  • September 11th Remembrance

    FRAMINGHAM,MA — The Town of Framingham hosts a remembrance ceremony at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11th at the memorial at Tercentennial Park on Dudley Road, for the fifth anniversary of those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

    Family members of loved ones are asked to attend and help honor the numerous individuals that had ties to the Framingham community. The event will include reading the names on the memorial and family members will be asked to place a rose in front of the memorial trees.

    Color guards will attend and prayers will be offered. The Town also asks for help in contacting the family members of those who lost their lives on Sept. 11th. Contact the Selectmen’s office at 508-532-5400 or email selectmen@framinghamma.gov

  • Garden Party to Rock for START Partnership

    Gala must go-to party at Garden in the Woods

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The hottest ticket in town is for the START Partnership’s Garden Party Gala at Garden in the Woods on Thursday night, September 14th from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.

    This fundraising party begins with hot and cold appetizers and complimentary beer and wine and a stroll through the Garden in the Woods to enjoy the “Rock On!” sculpture exhibit.

    Attendees will enjoy the music of Pro Musica drifting through the woods as they stroll, nibble, and chat with many of the artists who created the sculptures on display.

  • LIFT 9 LAUNCH EVENT THURSDAY

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Come celebrate the launch of LIFT 9 at 11:00 a.m. at May Hall on the campus of Framingham State College. The celebration will include refreshments, live music, and remarks from some of the prominent local officials who made LIFT 9 a reality.

    What’s the celebration about?

    Beginning August 28, 2006 the Lift Public Transit System will begin providing direct service to the West Natick commuter rail station and the retail, residential and employment hubs along Route 9 in Framingham. LIFT 9 will offer bus service to places like the Natick Mall, Shoppers World, Framingham State College and the 9/90 Corporate Center. There are also changes to the current Lift routes.
