  • Collecting Hometown Memorabilia Talk on Sunday

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Temple Beth Am Brotherhood continues its Sunday breakfast and speaker series on Sunday, January 22, from 9 – 10:30 a.m.

    This month’s featured speaker is Debbie Cleveland, who will speak on collecting hometown memorabilia, using examples from her collection of nostalgic MetroWest materials. Her talk will include a tabletop display plus a powerpoint presentation.

    Cleveland is a founding member of the Friends of Saxonville, a member of the Curatorial Committee of the Framingham Historical Society & Museum, co-author of Barbara Gray’s memoir: A Woman’s Ways & Means: 24 Wild Years in the Massachusetts House, and owner of framingham.com.

    The program is open to the public at a cost of $ 8.

  • New Auction Hall in Saxonville

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Pop Culture guru and Antiques Roadshow appraiser Gary Sohmers announced the opening of his newest venture, The Saxonville Auction Hall, in the Roxbury Carpet Mill Complex.

    His first auction will be an online catalog auction.  Bidders can preview the items in the hall, but the auction won’t be live as the occupancy permit has not been issued.

    In Person Preview Times: Friday Jan. 20 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. & Saturday Jan. 21 from Noon to 7:00 p.m.

    Auction items include: antique & collectible toys, dolls, tin windups, 1940s-50s television sets, radios & accessories, victrolas, marx toys trains & playsets, catalogs, comics, children’s books, sports, action figures, small antiques, box lots & more!

    Saxonville Auction Hall, 1650 Concord St, Framingham, MA – located at the Saxonville Industrial Complex in North Framingham, at the intersection of Concord, Elm, Water & Central Streets. Park anywhere in the Lot after 4:00 p.m. Friday or all day Saturday. Parking also available in Public Lot across Concord Street.

  • Neighborhood Forums

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Framingham Selectmen invite residents to a series of neighborhood forums to be held at local schools. The Board would like to hear from residents about their priorities and concerns. The information can help them in hiring the next town manager.

    Each forum starts at 7 p.m. except for the Callahan Center. The schedule is as follows: Wednesday, January 18th, McCarthy School; Monday, January 30, Stapleton School; Thursday, February 2nd, Callahan Senior Center (10 a.m.); Wednesday, February 8th, Brophy School; Monday, February 13th, Hemenway School.
