    FRAMINGHAM, MA – A special curbside collection of yard waste will take place as a result of the October 29th snow storm. Brush, branches, and limbs must be neatly piled curbside by Monday, November 14th, 2011.

    The Department of Public Works will make one pass through the Town picking up those materials and will not be able to return to a residence should items not be left out on time. For this one time collection only, it will not be necessary to tie the materials up. However, please keep the area free of vehicles between the hours of 7AM and 7PM so that DPW truck mounted equipment can pick it up.

    This collection is for natural vegetation only. Food, trash, construction materials, etc., will not be collected. Bagged leaves will continue to be collected as scheduled throughout the month of November on your regular trash day.     Residential Real Estate Sold in Framingham in September 2011
    39 residential properties were sold in Framingham during the month of October 2011.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA– There were a total of 39 residential real estate sales in Framingham during the month of October 2011.

    Of those 39 properties, thirty one single family homes were sold at an average sale price of just over $296k, four condominiums sold at an average price of $111.5k, and four multi-family properties sold at an average of $252k.

    Single family home which sold during October had been on the market for an average of just over 15 weeks, while condos had taken an average of just 6 weeks to sell.

    Multi-family residential properties that sold during October 2011 were on the market for an average of 85 days and sold for $252k, just shy of their average $256k asking prices.  A 2-family, 10-room / 6-bedroom at 395 Concord Street sold for (more…)

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – A strong advocate for using technology to make government more transparent and accessible, Representative Tom Sannicandro was recently featured in The Economist for a website that asks his constituents and other interested parties to collaborate on and ultimately draft a bill to regulate net neutrality.

    The magazine featured an article titled Government by (all) the people, which looked at efforts around the world to include citizens in law making.

    The article references Rep. Sannicandro’s participation in the website lexpop. He also has his own wiki-style website that allows constituents to collaborate on new ideas for legislation in different topic areas, YourVisionForMassachusetts.wikistyles.org.
