  • Fall 2008 Hazardous Waste Day on October 25

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Town of Framingham’s Fall 2008 Hazardous Waste Day is Saturday, October 25th. Time is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Location is the McCarthy School Parking Lot on Flagg Drive.

    This is for Framingham residents only. Proof of residency is required and photo ID. No commercial waste. Reduce long waits by combining waste with your neighbors and car pool.

    Accepted: pesticides, herbicides, bug sprays, rodent poisons, paint thinner, urethans, oil or enamel paints, lead based paints, pool & spa chemicals, concentrated fertilizers, cleaning solvents, caustic cleaners, degreaser, photo chemicals, old gasoline/kerosene, diesel oil, aerosol cans containing paint, mercury-containing devices.

    Do NOT Bring: radioactive waste, explosives, gunpowder, flares, ammunition, PCB oils, bulk chemicals/oil, asbestos, medical/biochemical waste or latex paint.

  • Framingham Children’s Mental Health Forum

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Representative Pam Richardson and the Children’s Mental Health Campaign invite you to the Framingham Children’s Mental Health Forum, Friday, October 24, 9-10:30am at the Memorial Building, Blumer Community Room, 150 Concord Street, Framingham MA 01701.

    The time is now to share your story, speak out for reform, learn about Chapter 321  (An Act Relative to Children’s Mental Health) and Make children’s mental health care better together.

    A light breakfast will be served.

  • Framingham Fall Fairs and Yard Sales

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Once again MetroWest Framingham boasts a wide variety of fairs and yard sales this fall. Edwards Church and St. George’s in Saxonville both have sales on Sat. Oct. 18th. Various schools are having fairs in the coming Saturdays. And the annual Pies on the Common on the Framingham Centre Common, is also on Oct. 18th.

    Parents of young children take note of the free Early Childhood fair for FRAMINGHAM FAMILIES with YOUNG CHILDREN 0-5 – Early Years are Learning Years!

    It will be held Saturday, November 8th from 10:00-12:30 8 Flagg Drive — McCarthy Elementary School. Enjoy activities in science, language, and math, sample mini-classes in art, music- and much more!

    There will be information for parents about Preschool Programs, Community Classes & Services, Child Development, Pre-Registration for Kindergarten in 2009. There will also be fingerprinting, vision screening, Big Trucks, healthy snacks & free raffles!
