The Framingham Special Education Parent Advisory Council* F-SEPAC *cordially invites you to”Understanding Educational Assessments” * What is an educational assessment? * Are there different kinds? * How do I interpret & apply the results? * How will these help my students/children?This will be a clear, concise talk on what it means to have an assessment and what is the outcome. Our presenter will touch on neuropsychology evaluations and other relevant issues.This presentation is free & open to the public. (Westboro)Dr. Antalek is the Associate Director of Educational Directions. She has many years of experience conducting psychoeducational assessments, which include neuropsychological tests, and working as an educational consultant to help parents and school systems to develop IEPs and 504 plans for children with special needs and learning differences. Dr. Antalek also advises parents on selecting appropriate placements for school – and placing children and young adults in private schools, colleges, and therapeutic placements all over the country. As such, she travels extensively across the country to evaluate schools and programs. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts branch of the International Dyslexia Association. Prior to Educational Directions, Dr. Antalek worked at Clark University as the Associate Director of Special Needs.
