Transportation Issues Discussion (at Library)
The Framingham Sierra Club is hosting a discussion of transportation issues on Tuesday, June 14th, 2011 from 7:00PM to 8:45PM in the Costin Room of the Framingham Public Library, 49 Lexington Street, Framingham, MA. State Rep. Chris Walsh (D, Framingham), a member of the legislature’s Transportation Committee will discuss some of the issues on the legislature’s docket regarding transportation in Framingham and his vision for the community. Next, Ed Carr, Administrator of the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority will speak on current status and future MWRTA plans. The final speaker will be John Stasik, long-time member of the Framingham bicycle community. Stasik is also the Framingham representative to the Friends of Bruce Freeman Rail Trail and will speak on the current status of the BFRT, its relation to other nearby Rail Trails and his vision for the future of Rail Trails in the area.
