The Forest Finns of Sweden

“The Forest Finns of Sweden” is the title of a talk to be given to the members of SARA (Swedish Ancestry Research Association) at the Sudbury Senior Center, October 25 2008. Elisabeth Thorsell, editor of “The Swedish America Genealogist” and Ulla Skold, both renowned Swedish genealogists will be our speakers. Elisabeth will speak at 11am before lunch and Ulla will speak after lunch on “The Finnish War of 1808-1809 and the effects on Sweden”. This is the last war Sweden fought and when Finland became part of Russia This meeting is free only to current members of SARA. However the meeting is open to the public, but a fee of $7 must be charged for non-members. Meeting time is 10am-3pm The Sudbury Senior Center is located on Fairbank Rd.
