7:00pm–GUEST SPEAKER: Gil Harel, Ph.D., CUNY Baruch College.Dismissed during the late baroque era as unnecessarily complex and taxing on the ears, J.S. During this talk, Professor Gil Harel will unravel some of the mysteries surrounding Bach’s musical style, illuminating specific works to demonstrate the composer’s ample gifts while analyzing the reception of his compelling – and sometimes enigmatic – creations. *** Refreshments *** Held in Costin Room of Framingham Public Library, 49 Lexington St., Framingham, MA.
