Tenor and soprano saxophonist Nick Goumas is a jazz musician of mature and imaginative style. Nick performs with energy, feeling and musical integrity. He is joined in his quintet by four outstanding Boston area musicians: Phil Grenadier, trumpet & flugelhorn; Steve Hunt, piano; Bruce Gertz, bass; and Jack Diefendorf, drums. The Nick Goumas Quintet’s post-Bebop, contemporary, straight ahead style; and its display of rhythmic and harmonic sense produces exciting jazz improvisation.
