McAuliffe Branch Library Bricks Celebration

The Framingham Public Library Foundation has 889 reasons to celebrate. That’s the number of personalized bricks that were purchased by library supporters to defray the cost to the town of constructing the new McAuliffe branch library in Nobscot, and now the foundation is holding a celebration to recognize that support. The bricks are installed in two patios in front of the McAuliffe, and on Sunday, September 24 from 1-3 p.m. library supporters who purchased the bricks are invited to join foundation board members and library staff at the branch library at 746 Water Street. The event will formally acknowledge and celebrate the community support that contributed to the successful effort to open the first new branch library building in Framingham in decades. The celebration will include speakers from the foundation and the library, refreshments, and musical entertainment from Framingham High School drama students.
