March to the Vote!

In honor of the 90th anniversary of Women’s Suffrage – August 26, 1920 – the Framingham History Center will be featuring storyteller Libby Franck as Miss Josephine Collins – Framingham’s own suffragette who was jailed for picketing President Woodrow Wilson. (We believe she is second from the left on the front image.)Libby will re-enact this local business woman’s journey in the fight for a woman’s right to vote from Framingham to Boston. Tickets are $5 for FHC members – $10 for non-members. Libby’s shows sell out so we suggest purchasing tickets in advance on-line at www.framinghamhistory.org or sending checks payable to FHC P.O. Box 2032 Framingham, MA 01703. Tickets will be sold at the door as well. For questions call 508-872-0484 or email michelle@framinghamhistory.org
