Main Library Book Club
7:00pm. The Main Library Book club will discuss the “Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society” by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.This charming romantic epistolary novel is an homage to the written word and tells the story of single, 30-something author Juliet Ashton, who starts communicating with a group of Guernsey residents who created the Society during the Nazi occupation. The Washington Post says the book “affirms the power of books to nourish people during hard times.” Led by trustee Ruth Winett.
