Literature Sessions: The Merchant of Venice
10:00am-12:00noon.Discussion Leader: Dr. Helen Heineman, President Emerita, Framingham State University.The Merchant of Venice is counted among Shakespeare’s top comedies, but the dramatic themes running through this great play combine to create a complex drama. The plot involves Shylock, a greedy moneylender, who seeks a literal “pound of flesh” from the Merchant of Venice, Antonio, for failure to pay a debt.
