Free Smoke Alarm Installations -Red Cross & Framingham Fire Dept
The American Red Cross in partnership with the Framingham Fire Department and the Framingham Council on Aging will be installing free photoelectric smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors in Framingham on Saturday, April 9th, 2016 starting at 9 am. The campaign’s goal is to install smoke alarms in homes that need them and teach people about what they need to do now to be prepared should a fire break out in their home. Residents should call the Council on Aging to register for the free installation: English speaking residents call: 508.532-5980; and Spanish speaking residents call: 508-532-5980 ext 4111.Framingham single family and two family homeowners are eligible for this program if the home was built prior to 1975 and has not been remodeled or sold since 1993, or currently not for sale.
