Cabaret Open Mic with feature Stanley Wilson, host Leslie Holmes and pianists Malcolm Halliday & Tom LaMark
Performers bring dreams, voice, sheet music and persona and try them out on a friendly supportive audience.Stanley Wilson, tenor, has a background in both classical music and musical theatre. He has a Master of Music from The Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA in Opera Performance and is currently studying with Deborah Birnbaum of New York City. For the last seven years, Stanley has been teaching private voice lessons from his home as well as teaching at the Groton School in Groton, MA for the past two years. During the summer of 2006 he released his first CD titled Stanley Wilson Sings Cole Porter with pianist Ben Cook of the Boston Pops. He has forged a relationshop with local pianist, Malcolm Halliday. They are currently working on two CDs, the songs of Robert Schumann and Art Song of the British Romanitc Composers which will be released within the next year. He has a significant reportiore of opera, oratorio and theatre roles which include Bardolfo in Falstaff, Judas Maccabeaus, and the MC in Cabaret.
