Bay State Phantoms from 1638-present
7:00pm—-To get you in the mood for Halloween, folklorist John Horrigan will present a chronology of encounters with “phantoms” in Massachusetts from 1638 to present. Hear stories about odd creatures, strange lights, popular ghosts and dangerous animals that have been witnessed by residents of Massachusetts over the past five centuries. Some of the topics discussed will be: The Great Light in the Night (1638), The Lynn Sea Monster (1641), The Gloucester Sea Serpent (1817), Mysterious Air Ships (1909) and Phantom Clowns (1981).
