A Christmas Carol: An Illustrated Reading of Charles Dickens’ masterpiece!

Performed by: Dr. Helen Heineman, President Emerita, Framingham State College.Charles Dickens prepared a special reading version of “A Christmas Carol” that he used during reading tours in England and America, ending in Boston. Dr. Helen Heineman, in Victorian regalia, will perform this dramatic public reading, keeping alive a tradition started by Dickens himself! Dr. Heineman will enhance the performance by showing her collection of some 250 slides that depict nearly every illustrated version “A Christmas Carol” since it first appeared in 1843! Refreshments.
