Holliston’s own coffee house, 1728 Coffee House, will be the host of Walk that Walk Blues on November 14, 2009. The 1728 Coffee House debuted last April when a full house enjoyed gourmet desserts, coffee and live jazz. Each coffee house is staffed by Holliston community volunteers and benefits a local nonprofit organization. The November 14th coffee house will feature Walk that Walk, a premier band on the Boston blues scene. Walk that Walk is an east coast combo, but it’s Midwestern roots run deep. The group’s material and performances are influenced by the fertile sounds of Detroit and Chicago, where the electric blues were ignited in the 1950s. The group has been on the scene for many years, beginning their long-standing blues testimony back in 1992. Admission is $10 per person and fancy desserts, coffee and beverages, and appetizers will be available for sale. Proceeds of the November 14th Coffee House will be donated to The Baypath Humane Society. The Coffee House takes place in Jordan Hall at the Congregational Church, 725 Washington Street, Holliston. Call 508-249-7207 for more information or to purchase tickets. Tickets will also be available at the door.
